SESSION INFO
- These sessions are held outdoors in Hilly Fields, Brockley, most weekends from spring to autumn, usually from 11am until 12pm, either on a Saturday or a Sunday depending on the weather.
- Dates are usually confirmed 1–2 weeks in advance depending on the weather forecast so check back regularly for upcoming dates or join the mailing list or the WhatsApp group below for updates and early bird discounts.
- For more regular weekly sessions visit the Wednesday Evening Brockley Class page.
- These sessions explore the health benefits of Tai Chi and Daoyin (Qigong) movements and not the martial art of Taijiquan. There's no need to memorise sequences and the inclusion of gentle options for each movement make the sessions suitable for complete beginners.

Are these sessions suitable for beginners?
Yes. We will be exploring various Tai Chi and Daoyin (Qigong) movements to help calm the mind and energise the body, all suitable for complete beginners.
Why aren't the dates released much earlier in advance?
Where will we meet before the start of the session?
The meeting point will be sent by email once you have booked your place and will be close to Pistachio's Cafe in Hilly Fields.

We'll gather at the meeting point (exact location will be sent with your booking confirmation) 10 minutes before the start of the session and move to the training location 5 minutes before the start time shown above.
What about the weather / cancellations?

Can I invite friends / family?
Yes – this will be a gentle, relaxing session and therefore suitable for beginners, with options provided for more experienced students.
You can book multiple places when booking online using the buttons above but please email us the names of any additional attendees.
IMPORTANT: If you or those planning on accompanying you have any injuries or mobility issues email us before making a booking to make sure the class is safe for you.

- Outdoor sessions can only be confirmed 1-2 weeks in advance because they are dependant on good weather.
- If you're seeeking regular weekly sessions then you might be interested in the Wednesday Evening Brockley Class.

The meeting point will be sent by email once you have booked your place and will be close to Pistachio's Cafe in Hilly Fields.

- Sessions will be held in Hilly Fields (Brockley) and we will pick the quietest spot near our meeting point on the day.
- This is why it's not possible to share the exact location beforehand because we can't predict who else might be using different spaces around the park on the day.
What time are we meeting?

- If any session is cancelled due to inclement weather then you can request a full refund or switch your booking to a future date.
- Join the WhatsApp group to be informed of any cancellations due to sudden / unexpected change in weather.
What should I wear?
- Any loose, comfortable clothing that won't restrict your movement is fine, but bring several layers to avoid feeling cold during the session.
- Even on hot days please wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders.
- Any flat soled, comfortable shoes will be ok.
- We aim to practice in a shaded section of the park but bring a hat and sunscreen just in case.
